Welcome to ElJourney. We’re Sarah and Joe, an expat couple who fell in love with the vibrant lifestyle of southern Europe and decided to make sunny Málaga, Spain, our home base. Between us, we’ve lived all over the place, travelled the world, and still take to the road every spare minute we get.
In fact, Sarah’s a seasoned travel journalist and together we run specialized travel marketing agency Peregryn. We created ElJourney, our magazine for curious travelers, to bridge the gap between postcard tourism and authentic local living. Because we know the best trips aren't about box-ticking big-name sites, but immersing yourself in the lifestyle of the places you explore.
The name ElJourney blends the English "journey" and the Spanish "el viaje" — a nod to our mixed roots, our life in Spain, and our continuous search for hidden corners across Europe.
